my friend was involved with gang fighting, what actually happened was that one night out him and his mates about 4 of them altogether decided to fight this one guy! They beat him up and when he was down on the ground he was kicked in the head. The man who was attacked pressed charges and so now all of these 4 were taken to the police station and given interviews etc. They dont exactly know yet what is going to happen to them, They think they are looking to go to prison for 6 months and serve 3 of these months. can someone please help me out on what they think will happen and do you think they will definately get sent down for 6 months?????
p.s apparently this guy they attacked is in the army and so apparently the police have seen it as attacking somebody who serves the queen!I was just wondering what others think will happen? and some more information on what category this type of assault falls into??? thankyou very much for your time.

It is impossible to answer this question until you know what (if anything) your friend is to be charged with. The range is enormous from Common Assault up to attempted murder.

Try the cookery section next, ask for a recipe on how to bake a cake with a file in it.
Or even better, find some better friends, terrible story deserve everything they get.
I hope he is not your friend any longer.
An animal like him does not deserve friends.

He'll make plenty of new 'friends' inside.
It's not the same friend whose car you crashed into is it?

Yeah give him twenty minutes and he'll turn him around, buy him some nail varnish and call b1tch.
Good practice for him...

hey really disappointed with your comments! i thought this was a place where people could get constructive answers not a place where people just give opinions which nobody really cares about.(and to mention that fact offensive opinions). replying back to the appauling comments no he is isnt my friend and hasnt been for a while as i am disappointed with the way he acts. I just wanted to know what would happen next because even though someone may behave bad doesnt mean you stop caring for them. just please remember people in life dont be so quick to judge as one day you might be the one who needs help!!
.... and he has been charged with gbh i think if that helps any queries

mcneil ... had you been the victim i think you'd agree with all of the above answers
Make ya mind up the first two words of your post are "my friend" how are we supposed to know better if we don't know you from Adam or I suspect Eve.
You have an acquaintance who accompanied by others set about a man on his own kicking him in the head in the process, we may indeed need help one day, probably from your scumbag "friend".
The only place you'll find sympathy in this instance is in a dictionary inbetween sh1t and syphilis.

he has been forwarded to crown court and he has told other that he is looking to get 6 months, which then i thought was a bit short so thats why i posted the question. Really 123 everton i am not looking for any sympathy i am trying to get "helpful" answers thats why i posted the question and yes if i was the victim i would see this differently as it would have affected me but LISTEN i am not sticking up for the guy..... and seriously considering your a christian 123 everton i i thought your attitude would stink less!
To my mind (in this instance certainly) first comes punishment, then comes repentance and ONLY THEN comes forgiveness.
If your friend is truly sorry for what he's done, he won't appeal his sentance.
My thoughts are with the victim.
