Driving without due care and attention

Hey, I wonder if any one can help me....
A few months ago i had a minor accident on a roundabout. I was charged with driving without due care and attention. I have just recieved a letter telling me that I can attend a 1 1/2 driving course with a fee of �180.
Unfortunately I got made redundant not long ago and also lost my company car. I am still looking for work, so cannot afford the fee.
Does any one know what wil happen if i dont attend the course and pay the �180??

firstly plead not guilty ..... that means the police officer who reported the accident , and yourself , for prosecution will have , to attend court , to give evidence ,,,, something some police officers would ratherr not do , especially , for motoring offences ...... if the officer doesnt turn up . the case maybe "dropped" .... although this is unlikely ....... - as for �180 ...... ?? god iot never gets any better from the authority,,,

If you don't attend the course surely you will have to accept points (from 3 - 9) and what ever fine you get which could be a lot more than �180; it could be up to �5,000

However minor the accident the charge is still without care and attention/careless driving

If I were you I would try to borrow the �180
