My father has had a stroke, leaving him in a coma with a prognosis of many months in the same condition before passing on. My problem is that all my mothers and fathers affairs, bank accounts, house etc are in my fathers name only. What process do I need to follow to enable my mother to get access and control of their property and financial affairs given no power of attourney was entered into before his stroke.

You will need to apply to the COurt of Protection for a deputy to be appointed to manage your father's affairs (this could be you or your mother).
