Hireing a room in licenced premises
if I hire a room in my local pub for a function for more than 100 people I am told they have to hire doormen and the cost of the hire is double this true as this has never happened before

If the pub says they will hire doormen for parties of over 100 then I suppose they can pass the cost onto the hirer.
If you consider the amount of people at many 100's of functions across the country on any given weekend probably do not have doormen, then I doubt there is a law that covers it
