law on tom/tom

can i use my tom/tom in france on t/v last night it said it is aganst the law to use speed camera detectors in france tom/tom has these built in to them thanks

Why do you need a speed camera detector?

Speed limits change in wet weather so watch out if it rains.

Don't forget your HI - VIS jackets, another law introduced by the French.

I was in France a few weeks back, and Budget car rental offer tomtoms as an option. I happily use one for a week with no issues.

I have used my tomtom on many occasions in France without any problem although I do not have the speed camera database. (A policeman could not tell without looking at the screen.)
In fact we are off again to France in September for 7 weeks and will be using TomTom to get us all the way down to Spain.
Why don't you remove the speed camera database.
