I wouldn't have thought so. Housing Associations provide social housing, ie housing for those in need, and are publicly subsidised. It would be hard to justify giving a tenancy to someone who already owned a property.
A couple in my street live in his bought house but have still kept her housing association house on although they never use it. Makes me mad as someone who really needs it should have it instead.
Not by my housing assocation, they say that if you have property there is no way you would get a property with them, thats absolutely despicable when people are struggling to get a house, and if i ever found out that someone had i would report them, one woman by me had a house locally, and she only got found out as she was getting some extension done on it, and it was in the local rag under planning permission given!!! makes me so angry arrrrrrrrrgh!!!!
Just to confirm we were wondering if we were able to keep the housing association house for about 3 months after we had bought the new one so that we can get moved and relocated.
