over a month ago i was told by the police that i was going to be done for driving without due care and attention and i would recieve a fine and at least 3 points. since then i haven't heard or recieved any letters or any information about the incident. Is there a time limit for them to issue me with a fine and points? cheers. im from uk. ta

They've got up to 6 months to issue you with a summons. In my experience, they normally just manage to issue within the 6 month period.

The police will not issue you with fine and points, the Magistrates will give you a fine and points if you plead or are found guilty.

Yes it Takes almost the six month period for you to get this .

Problem is If your Insurance company asks if you have any pending situations It becomes so much more involved.
