I'll lay it on the line - I work for HBOS, I have a mortgage but didnt taken out Mortgage Protection Cover

I presume this is now too late to take out as although no job losses have been announced - speculation is rife - and they wouldnt pay out if I was one of the unlucky ones. Do you agree or should I still apply for it?

Check out the terms and conditions - how long does it have to be active before you can claim due to redundancy?
Lots of mortgage protection policies dont payout unless youve been outta work for more tahn 30 days. Some `pay the whole mortgage others can pay only interest.
Id imagine its too late to egt one now , but couldnt say for definite.
Some won't pay out if there is any sniff of possible redundancies when you actually take it out either.
apply by all means but I'm sure they'll tell you to take a hike as soon as they find out your employer, I mean would you take on a bet where you are 90% likely to lose?
