After a history of problems with our neigbours to do with racial harrasment and anti-social behaviour from their son.

They've had a police warning in July but it started all again lastnight with the son and a friend from our other neighbour. We found chocolate and other junk in our garden and this has happend before! We logged it with the Police & informed our Housing Association

But can what can we do now as we cannot take anymore!?

spray paint 'Kill Whitey' on their walls?
Are there other neighbours/residents living nearby who are suffering fom the same kind of abuse as yourself ? If the answer is "YES", get together with them and draw up a Petition towards having the offending family evicted by their Housing Association.

The Police have a clear responsibility to protect you against incidents of racial abuse, which should never be tolerated in this country, and you have a right under the law to expect some kind of positive action by the police. If the police fail to act, you have a right to complain to the Police Complaints Authority. Another course of action open to you is that you may approach your local elected councillor for the area in which you live and request that he/she makes positive representation to your local authority on your behalf.

We are the only targets and its been like this for a very long time!

We've contacted our local MP and he has sent a letter to our Housing Association but that's it!!!!
Good. Keep in touch with your MP, so that he/she will keep the pressure on the Housing Association.

I hope you have some peace.

Hi voltr4m4x - what I meant was that we've contacted our local MP in the past, do you think its worth contacting him again about lastnights incident?
Good advice above. Also keep a daily diary of incidents in order to be able to show and document continuous abuse over time. Keep calling the police and always state that it is racial abuse you are suffering. If the abuse makes you scared and afraid report it to the police as assault.
Hi Sonak it seems so long ago that i last posted an answer to you. I am sorry that you are still having trouble i would get back on to the Housing Association again . If the police have already given them a warning can they not help.
have you informed the police about last night. Did you put up one of those little cameras that we talked about.

Thanks for your input everyone

To pusspuss - Hi again yes still having problems!
I contacted the police lastnight & it was logged and I asked if the police officer who gave the warning to the neighbours could make contact with us as he is aware of our case, but we haven't heard anything yet. We've also informed our Housing Association but our Housing Officer is away but I emailed the Housing Manager, no responce from him yet!

We never got to buy any cctv cameras as they were really expensive, we did buy a pen camera but that broke after a couple of weeks!

Sonak i know you said you did not want to move but i honestly think you would feel a lot happier away from there.
I wish you luck.
