Cycling Dog

I regularly cycle with my dog on an extending lead on local footpaths and some minor roads. recently a woman shouted that this is illegal, does anyone know if this is the case?

I know lots of people who do it and as far as I know its not illegal.
She might have been refering to you cycling on the foot path.
Not sure if thats an offence.

I'm not sure of the legality of it but it is dangerous to pedestrians,if your dog decided to go one way and you went the other around a pedestrian you would either garotte them with the lead or trip them over.

Don't worry about it. Near me there is a footpath, 20ft wide and all of 20ft long. The council have put up a huge notice "Cycling along this path is strictly prohibited". Just like they have also marked out cycle and pedestrian paths across a park. They have put PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS across the cycle track (which is 4ft wide) in the middle of the park. A silly little zebra crossing in the middle of nowhere.

An axiom for you - if the law is silly, then break it.
