my ex partner wants parental responsibilty for my oldest son.. he is not the natural father.........he is natural father of my youngest son and has parental responsibilty of him..... we split up 20mths ago and im now in relationship and going to get marrried nx yr.. i cant afford legal help.......and dont want him to have the parental responsibilty...what can i say in court

How long did he act as a father figure to your son?

If he is not the father he has no right to parental responsibility. He can only acquire it by being granted a residence order, by being appointed a guardian, by adoption or by having an Emergency Protection Order granted in his favour.

All of these seem very unlikely unless there is a threat of significant harm to you child for some reason.
