Okay, well ive been talking to this girl (e-mailing her on facebook and stuff) i didnt treaten her at all but i said that i want her and her boyfriend to get back together, but i sent alot of emails trying to convince her. and did some other silly stuff aswell. she might have told the police, i just want to know if im in serious trouble or not, and if they can get a court order to get my ipaddress because they could get my email off facebook. I want to know if i am in alot of trouble or they will just not consider doing anything cause its not that big of a deal.

one other thing, skiing-booy: somewhere top right on your screen is a panel saying something like 'got an answer?' If you click on this it means that no more emails will be sent to you saying an answer has been received, which may be useful now that this thread has become a more wide-ranging discussion.

over here in the UK - if she did report it to the police they would contact you and warn you that if you continue to harrass/contact the girl you will be arrested. But they just give you a warning on the first time, second time they are called they will arrest you. Not sure of the law in Canada but I'm sure you will be ok. Just leave the girl alone from now on.

so far ive used two fake names... and the cops are involved now. will the cops even be remotly interested in this at all? because i havent threatened her at all. how long will it take to get the court order?
