equal pay
I have worked for my local authority for just over 2 yrs,at the time i started..other employees received back pay for unequal pay, thus them having no further claim, while the job evaluation process has taken longer then expected. Am i entitled to claim for the 2 yrs I have worked there?

Even then, you accepted the job on the pay you were on
sorry haven't made myself very clear. I work in a school kitchen and currently going through a job evaluation and regrading. This process was started 2yrs ago. The rest of the staff had been made offers of compensation for not receiving equal pay,if they excepted these compensation offers they could not make no further claim..which they all excepted. This process was all happening as i started my employment with them, I have worked for the local authority since oct'06,on exactly the same type of contract has the existing employees who took the comp, surely i would be able to pursue a claim for unequal pay for the last two years.
