does my boss have to pay me for time off work?
i had some time off work as a close member of my family died, does my boss by law have to pay me or is he right making me time the time off as my holidays? and i work 30 hours aweek and he wont give me a contract does he have to by law?

You don't make it clear whether he has joined the existing company or whether the company you worked for were taken over by his company (? Tupe transfer). In any case, you should be given a written statement of your terms and conditions of employment. Were you given one when you joined the company 10 years ago ? If so, then this is your legal contract unless there have been any changes to this, which should have been confirmed to you in writing.
