Could be that he has started to suffer from dementia. It is quite common in older cats and they do start to do weird things. Have a word with the vet, dustypuss

You might want to feed him once a month or something so he's not THAT hungry...

I would sell him to a chinese restaurant before he dies.. they don't buy dead cats... :-p
