Breach hanging over me

i was recently assaulted by someone i knew. grabbed and threatened with a weapon. she counter charged me with assault because i swore at her. i admitted to police i did swear. other people witnessd in favour of me.
however when i go to court, will my past come up.?, 15-20 yrs ago, breach, shoplifting and assault which i pled guilty to as result of reprisals. never been in trouble since. i am waiting to see if the PF takes me to court or dismisses my BOP. what are my chances .

Are you pleading guilty? If you are going not guilty, the court wont know about previous until you are found guilty, if you are. It all sounds a bit of a storm in a tea pot to me. I would be surprised if it actually gets to court. If your last conviction was 20 years ago I dont think you have anything to worry about. Good luck.

not sure how it works. the PF has to decide whether to charge me. if the PF does, i will be pleading not guilty. I swore because i was being verbally and physically assaulted. Witnesses saw the whole thing and can vouch that I did not touch her, just swore. I endured 45 mins of abuse. sad world when im being attacked, and because i swore, a report has been put to the PF. long and short of it is, seems you cannot stick up for youself, you have to just take abuse etc. cant imagine anyone not swearing in this predicament.
