my colleague said he think there is a God, and believes that you will either go to Hell, or Heaven when you die.
So i questioned how, how do God decide whether u go to Heaven or Hell? do they hold a some sort of a computer record of what you had done in your life?
Also what makes you deserved to go to Heaven?
do you have to be 100% good?
He questioned me where would a paedophile go? heaven or hell, although he was abused as a child. thats why he turned into one. so do u think a Hell for this person? but u have to think about when he was abused as a child.
What if you killed someone but wasnt your fault? eg... a train driver... sees a person or animal etc onthe track and too late to stop and kills it, where would this person go?
if there is heaven or hell do you think there should be a Neutral place to go? if you dont deserve to go either way? (perhaps back to life?)
for me i dont think theres such thing as Heaven or Hell.

Is there sin in heaven?
Most Christians will say no - obviously not.
But they'll also tell you the reason we have sin and evil is man's free will.
So that would mean we have no free will in heaven.
Then they come out with the "magic wand" - God is so amazing he can resolve this paradox and we can't understand it?
Really? - then he could have resolved it when the Earth was created and we could have free will and no evil in the world.
So If he could have done this but didn't - God must want evil in the world.
So God willfully inflicts evil on us - so he is not the God of Love that they claim!
Or more simply you have no life before birth why on earth would you expect there to be life at the other end of you time on this planet?
It's all a bunch on nonsense but for some people it's the only thing they cling to

Terambulan, prayer alone won't get you out of purgatory. There are many factors to be taken into consideration. Racism is one and swearing a lot in the pub is another. If you can convince God that you are truly sorry, then there may be a place in heaven. I also think that being PC most of your life would be a plus.
