ex-wife in breach of court order
My partner's ex-wife is currently in breach of their court order (which was signed in June last year). It decreed that their endowment must be cashed in and divided equally between them, however, she is refusing to sign the letter of instruction to the building society unless my partner gives her money. This is not the first time she has breached the Court Order. My partner has obeyed the terms of the court order to the letter, always pays his maintenance on time etc etc. We know from his solicitor's advice that she doesn't have a leg to stand on as she is legally bound to fulfil the terms of the contract and that we can apply to the Court for an enforcement of the Court Order but what we also know is that she will hold out until the last minute and then agree to pay the day before the court case, costing us money and her nothing. What can we do?
