Hi. I was recently told that my "up and over" garage door is no longer legal as it sticks out into my back lane, Is this correct or am I being conned into buying something better ?.

Sounda like a con to me.

Who's land does it supposedly encroach? and is it a problem if it does?
Who actually told you it is allegedly "no longer legal" ? And did s/he explain WHY?

Thank you for your answeres,I think it was a con job and now I am a which wiser sad old git
It would a problem if it encroaches on the public highway, but the people to ask are the Highways Department at your local council, not any old bod banging on the door peddling services.
