On monday morning, Otello advertised his car for sale on a card displayed in his local supermarket. Arthur, who was looking for a vehicle to buy for his daughter, saw the advertisement on Monday afternoon and went straight to Otello's house, offering to buy the car, paying cash. Otello refused to accept cash, telling Arthur that he would only accept a cheque, Authur left threatening to sue Otello for breach of contract. The following day, Bea came to look at the car. Later, after considering the matter at length, she wrote a letter to Otello on Wednesday afternoon, enclosing a cheque for the asking price. In the letter, Bea said that she assumed that the car was hers, unless she heard to the contrary.
On Wednesday evening, Carol inspected the car. Carol asked for time to get the money for the car and paid 1 to Otello in exchange for a promise that he would wait a week, during which time he would not sell the car to anyone else. On Thursday, Davina inspected the car and offered Otello 4,000 cash for it. which was accepted. Davina drove the car to Carol's house to tell her of her purchase.
Required:
Advise Otello of his legal position with each of the disappointed prospective purchasers.

If you want help with your homework you could begin by asking 'Can anyone please help me with this question, it's for my homework/study and I'm stuck'. A bit of humility and good manners go a long way, as there are some very knowledgeable people who use this site. People are often quite willing to help when they are asked in a proper manner, but certainly not when you come across as arrogant, as you have with the stream of questions you have posted today.
With respect I would suggest that vinshel has simply cut and paste this question directly from some sort of exam or test. The manner/tone of the question may not be his/hers but the original questioners.
It would have been nice for him/her to have mentioned this at the start i.e. could you guys please help me with this question from my law exam?..........thanks in advance etc
