My Wife and I are going through a separation, I have calculated the equity and contents of our house and given her half. , she has used this to buy another property and move on. After the transferal of equity to me, I assume I become the deedholder on our old house. However is there some other legal document I can get in place in case she changes her mind 12mths down the line and want further amounts from me. I have heard of notice of consent but assumed this took place after decree nisi. We have only been separated a few months and I would like any advice on the matter cheers
When my OH split with his ex wife, he paid his solicitor to draw up an agreement of financial separation. It detailed everything that had been agreed to be split, and how. It was worth paying a bit to have it done, as she has no wroggle room now. I'd advise that you ask your/a solicitor to help you with it.
