SIA Lience and a caution?

How long will a caution be on my criminal record? My caution was over a year and half ago and was thinking to apply for SIA licence as im in a job where I can do. How long before I can apply?

It will always be on an Enhanced CRB.
On a Standard CRB check it till be on there until it is stepped down.
A category A caution (very serious crime and anything drug related) is stepped down after 10 years.
Category B and C cautions are stepped down after 5 years.
You should be able to find out on the ACPO website what falls into each category.
It will never appear on a basic check carried our be Disclosure Scotland
