can i terminate my tenancy agreement early?
I want to terminate my tenancy agreement. I have a flat on an agreement for nine months (most people i have spoken to have never heard of a nine month contract) they are normally six or twelve. This is my first time renting and i was told that if i had six months my tenancy would end at Christmas and I would have to move out on that day (I have now found out that is not true) because my tenancy then becomes periodic by the week, i feel like i have been signed up for nine under false pretences and now my circumstances have changed too and i need to end my tenancy early.

It is only if both parties do nothing that the contract rolls on.
I don't think you will get away with this as an 'excuse' for reverting back to 6 months, but you could ask CAB for a second opinion.

This is the third time you've posted recently about ending your tenancy early. Unfortunately, no matter how many times you ask, the answer is still the same - you can only end the tenancy early with the agreement of the landlord.
There is no set length of time for a tenancy, it can be anything from 6 months (6 months being the minimum time before the landlord can issue an s21 notice to quit).
Why do you think you have been 'signed up for nine under false pretences (sic)'? Did you not read the Agreement before signing, the part where it said 9 months?

And, likewise, if you keep asking the same question ('can i terminate my tenancy agreement early?', 'end tenancy agreement early?' etc) I am equally at liberty to answer it each time with the same answer too.
I did ask you what the false pretenses were that you felt you'd been signed up under, but you didn't bother to answer.
I wonder if you actually want help or you just want someone to write what you want to hear?

Twenty20. I was getting a little fed up with the repeating of the same question.
There were no false pretences. You read the contract and signed the agreement. I can but assume you didn't have your arm twisted behind your back either otherwise you would have mentioned this improtant piece of information.
You have been advised in your other posts on this matter what course of action you could take. Rather than trying to get a different answer why not try one of these?
