recovering seized vehicle

can anybody help? unfortunately my vehicle was seized due to an insurance mix up, which was my fault. i now have insurance but i have lost the paper section of my license but have the photocard. the police will not release my car without this. the new license will take up to three weeks to come and i am incurring charges daily. is there anything i can do

Unfortunately, it's your fault for losing the docs.....explain to police and they may be lenient. Take a granny to the police stn.....more chance of being let off!

I understood the police can retrieve all your motoring data from their base......as shown on TV crime programs.
