Transferring negatives to CD

I have stacks of negatives from when I went travelling. (My Ex-boyfriend has the photos). I have not found a photo place willing to do contact sheets at any sort of reasonable price and most of them would not do a contact sheet at all; but would re-print the negs at great expense. I wondered theefore if transferring the negs to a CD might be a viable alternative. Does anyone have any experience of this? or any other suggestions? Thanks, F

Yes, I've recently done this with my honeymoon photos. 7 lots of negs onto 1 CD for 99p at Boots. Bargain.
Question Author
have you tried to print the pics up from them? what was that like?
There are hi-res and lo-res versions of the photos. The hi-res are 1840x1232. Not tried printing though I'd have thought they'd come out well onto A4 at that size.
Whatever you do, don't lose the negs. The life-time of CD-R is unknown, and may only be 10 years. Negs last for decades.
