Who does the law believe if a customer asks for a job to be done but realises afterwards it does not satisfy him. There is no written contract or spec just the word of mouth between him and the builder. How can this be resolved?
Very difficult to resolve now, Rov.
By paying for the job, one has gone a long way to 'accepting' the job that was done. Unless it was something one could not have reasonably foreseen at the time.
