fao Barmaid "Am I Being Unreasonable?"
40 Answers
LOl LOL LOl LOL I read your thread out to mrs sqad this morning and she told me to relate this to barmaid.
" I sympathise and empathise with you, been there, done it, got the tee-shirt.......it is quite the norm, happens all the time, every day, throughout the world and you better get used to it because it doesn't get any better. it is called "baggage" and usually women come with more "baggage" than men. You have to work if he is worth it or not.
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
I had 4 boys with sqad as "my baggage" 2 were quite intelligent and the other 2 were, and still are, morons.
Good luck Barmaid.
Mrs sqad.
But he was worth it (I put that bit in)LOL

I read it this morning too - and I too sympathise & empathise - been there, done that, got the t-shirt AND the baseball cap.
I was lucky with my 2 stepsons, they are great lads and now great fathers themselves & even though I'm no longer with their father, I am still their stepmum & they always will be my family. But the early years in particular were not easy - actually the problems were more with their mother than themselves..but...
If the man is worth it BM, it will all be worth it in the end. Kids mature, grow & (usually) become civilised humans. And if they don't, then at least they leave home....

Brenda - it's just sqad's 'way' of describing them - not always endearing to some, but funny to those who 'get it'. I'd like to say he doesn't really think of them as morons - but, from what I can gather from previous references, he really does....
I must admit, when I read this, I did laugh out loud. Morons maybe, but he 'loves' them really... if he ever admits to love, which he doesn;t..

Some if it.... I felt instant empathy & knew exactly what she meant ! The food issue particularly - nightmare.
Thankfully my 2 'baggages' are now 26 & 28 and are brilliant. But boyoboy, there have been times.....
Do you know that you & your good wife have just been called chavs?!! Bet you're gutted?!!
