I am also sceptical about your drivers information - I mean surely roundabouts in Rome or Cairo are just as bad?? I would check with your broker before trying it though!
I think you will find that it is the French insurance that excludes the Place de Etoile. If you bash or are bashed(as a French insured driver) you have to sort out your own compensation from the other driver. The French Insurance rules are different from British, but British Insurance works fine over there, without this crazy exclusion.
