A hypothetical question, what if..........

The planet earth was nearing its final stages of existence after being hit by a meteor and you are one of the few survivors picked as crew for a spacecraft that will be going on a long 4 year space voyage to a star that has been proved to have an earth like planet nearby. Now the earth will blow up soon after you leave it and you'll never see it again. Apart from the obvious photos and video footage what things, items or possessions would you take from earth to remind you of home and to show future generations would you take with you and why?

Dot we would have weapons on board anyway but your slowcooker would help you remember life back here on earth.

Zacs we would've taken with us some of the finest remaining survivoring females for our breeding program, but razzle would still be great wallpaper for our spacecrafts toilet.

Noknowledge we would already have alcohol on board but the more the merrier.

I think it was the Mayans who played a game where two opposing teams tried to get a ball in to a hole in the wall at either end of the 'pitch'. The losing side were beheaded. I'm sure jno can confirm/clarify.

Wouldn't want to dance on your parade Hannibal but our nearest star/planets are a tad bit longer than 4 years away.
I'd take the latest copy of the News of the World to show the Earths destruction wasn't such a bad thing....Providing there were no "celebs" hiding in the cargo bay :-)
