Urgent advice needed - I'm at my wits end

This is a lengthy one so please bear with me. A non teaching member of staff at the school my 14 year old daughter attends is making our lives a misery. My daughter is a high flyer with 100% attendance but she has started having panic attacks at school as this woman picks on her constantly. It started off as low level nit picking but has now escalated. Before half term my daughter had 3 panic attacks in one day due to this woman, and during the final attack she told my daughter that she was mentally unstable and needed treatment. During the half term holiday I received a phone call from CAMS (Child & Adolescent Mental health Service) AND from Social Services. This awful woman made the referrals. She told both the mental health team and social services that my daughter is suicidal and that a teacher actually grabbed her and saved her life as she was about to jump off a cliff. She also told them that (in her opinion) she thinks that I am the reason why my daughter is suicidal, stating I am an abusive parent. Fortunately the mental health team made contemporaneous notes of the conversation. Everything she has said is a pack of lies. My daughter flatly denies everything, and on the date she is alleged to have tried to jump off a cliff we were on a short break in Holland. This morning I went into school and asked to see my daughter's Pastoral file. There was no record of any such incident or of my daughter telling staff she was feeling suicidal or scared of me. There was a record of conversation form stating that I had phoned this woman and been abusive and threatening. I have never made any such phone call and at the time and date of the alleged phone call I was in hospital. When I saw the headmaster and told him this, his answer was that his staff don't make mistakes!
I now have a panic stricken child who has an appointment to see a mental health nurse and I'm awaiting a visit from Social Services.

Thank you all so much for taking the trouble to reply. I now have my "fighting head" on. Everything has been put into writing, along with all my evidence (DFDS booking form, hospital discharge form, copy of the contemporaneous notes from the mental Health nurse etc etc.). A copy has gone to the Head, one to the Chair of Governors, one to my solicitor. My daughter came home in tears yesterday - as she was standing by her locker at 0850 removing her outdoor clothes this woman approached her, told my daughter to take her gloves off and rapped her across the back of the hand 3 times as she did so. There were 2 witnesses to this and I have reported it to the Police as common assault. In the meantime, I have told the Head teacher that if this woman even looks at my daughter I will sue the pants off them.

Unfortunately moving school is not an option. We live in the sticks and the next nearest school is 25 miles away over the moors

To add to what has been said already. Don't worry about SS. My sister phoned them on me just to be malicious. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Because we'd lost my two Uncles and my Dad within months they arranged councilling for the ALL my kids. Because my youngest son is really shy they arranged art therapy for him. They also offered me councilling.

I didn't take them up on that offer....with hind sight, maybe I should have.

They knew as soon as they walked into my house that we were a functional family that was just having emotional problems. After all this the social worker wrote me a lovely letter saying what great kids I have and what a lovely family we are :-)

I had a letter from Social Services this morning saying they are not taking any action. They must realise it's all nonsense!

Weekly boarder - d'ter might like it? Ask her to choose another school. Meantime with your evidence you can recoup fees from perpetrators - worth a try for d'ters peace of mind.

Mrs. O - just been reading this - this is an absolute disgrace - I agree with what everybody else has said - take legal advice - report the hitting hand incident to the Police (which you have done). Keep the letter you have received from Social Services this morning in a safe place for future reference if need be.

This woman sounds an absolute nutcase and should not be let anywhere near children. Your daughter must be going through hell.

Have you confronted this awful woman Mrs. O ? I would start the ball rolling to get her removed from the school. The headmaster sounds a dick as well - he should be supporting your daughter as a pupil of his school.

Mrs O - I can't offer any advice other than what has been said above. You were absolutely right to make a report of common assault and I hope the police are taking it seriously. If she is convicted she will be a scheduled offender and will not be able to work in a school again.

Heads should roll after this without a doubt.Just out of interest what does this person do , without of course revealing too much.Find it unusual that she always seems to be in the same place as your daughter, is she deliberately seeking her out.
Think the woman is off her trolley and dangerous with it , should never be near children.Sincere good wishes .Brenda.

I too have been following... make notes and keep copies of everything pertaining to this incident.

Mrs. O after you and your daughter have won this case, go to the media and let them expose that rubbish teacher and principal.

Bl**dy 'ell - Mrs O - just read your post - what a 'mare you must be going through! My daughter was bullied at school but it wasn't in this league. You have my sympathy & support.

Hi Mrs O... just thought I would ask if you have made any progress as yet with the School etc?
Hope this is all being resolved for you and your daughter now!
