Calling all you young ones...Life Advice from Bananas.

Live life to the full, love plentifully, laugh heartily.
You know why? Tomorrow I go to the funeral of my son's best friend. They have known each other since the age of 4. He was 26 when he died two weeks ago - fell off scaffolding breaking his neck & bricks falling on him, crushing his thorax. My son is to be a pallbearer, along with 7 of his other mates. It is the last thing they can do for their mate - he was always giving them a lift cos he didn't drink, so this is their way of giving him a lift to his burial place.
I don't tell you all this to be morbid - though it is a tragedy & my son & this lad's family are devastated. But it just reminds you that life is precious and can be cut short at any time, and life really is for living while you have the chance. Stop moaning - appreciate what you've got.

I sincerely hope they give their friend the best possible send off they can.. and live their lives to the fullest - in memory of him!
We should all stop and appreciate what we have more often....
I have an awful lot to be thankful for....
Thanks for reminding us all to pause and appreciate!

I just think we all need a reminder from time to time about what is really important and what we really should appreciate.
I feel desperately sorry for this lad's parents & brother. My son is doing the last favour he can for his best mate. I am irrelevant really in all this - but the whole sad story has made me stop and think - there but for the grace of god 'n all that.

Lads will be Lads eh? They call the young these days (my son's 27) but they have shown their true mettle & friendship these last 2 weeks. The accident was more than likely due to negligence (safety barriers were not installed correctly - the lad only fell 6 foot) so it has made the local newspapers and Look North. It also got a mention in The Sport newspaper - as my son said, ****** would be tickled pink to know his name got a mention between two sets of huge kn0ckers in one of the Daily's!!
