Divorcing Adopted Father
HI,
I am 34, and at the age of 8 was adopted by my mothers husband, I never questioned it as they told me it was because they had got married. I accepted this, I later found out at 14 that he was not my biological father. I have not spoken to this man in over 12 years, not to do with this but for other reasons. I am likely to never speak to him again, anyway, since the age of 16 I have been seeing my biological father and want o know if there is any way that I can revere the adoption order so that my biological father again, legally becomes my father in the eyes of the law.

If your adopted Father(and indeed your Mother) had agreed to your natural Father adopting you(back) before you were 16,then this (might) have been legally possible, but I cannot see that the courts would have allowed it.
Now you are 34 this obviously (sadly) does not become legally possible.
So, to summarise.
A person who is a adopted cannot "un~adopt" themselves, unless they are under 16,and their adoptive parent/s would have to agree.
You cannot also be adopted by your biological Father for the same reason,ie that he cannot adopt a person over 16.
I understand that your wishes are completely genuine, but I must ask what you hope to achieve by becoming the legal Daughter of your biological Father, apart from the obvious emotional ones?

Sadly northernmonkey this is not possible.
When jodubya was adopted, her original(birth) identity ceased to exist,as if that identity was deceased. So they cannot ask for their biological Father's name to be added to this certificate.According to the law they are now the child of the adopted Father, and cannot be "un~adopted"

Hi,
I am in wales, so I guess what your saying applys to me. I don't want to achieve anything from it, appart from the fact that it's important to me for him to be legally recognised as my father rather than the other man. Its odd, I know.
I have called the local family court this morning where I live, and was adopted to see what the protocall is, if any. I am waiting for them to call me back.

I am really sorry that I couldn't be more positive about this, but we (as a family) have had a similar experience.
One of my Grandsons in Law was adopted in similar circumstances. When he was 25 his adopted Father was imprisoned for a sexual offence (basically a rape),and as he had never had much of a relationship with him he wanted (like you) to "un~adopt" himself.
This is why I know that (iusually) it's not possible.
Have you considered changing your surname by deed poll to that of your biological Father.Although this will not make you legally his Daughter,it will signal to the world that you regard each other AS Father and Daughter.
I wish you well with the Family Court, but I fear they will only confirm what I have already said (but I hope they do not).
Let me know how you get on,if you want to.
BTW,there's nothing odd to it,nothing odd in wanting to sort out our lives and emotions,if we can.
Alec
