I recently got a new job which requires an enhanced CRB check as I will have some contact with children, (I'm a Medical PA so it would be limited). I work for the NHS now and assume that I had a normal CRB check when I first started my current role. I know an ehanced one takes about four weeks according to their website. I just wondered if because I already had a standard one it might take a bit less time, does any know much about them please?
It cantake up to 6 weeks but it's often quicker. Puzzled about you "assuming" you had a standard CRB check before - you'd know definitely as you have to fill in the form. It doesn't seem to speed up either - I've had several and all took c.5 weeks. Hope you enjoy the jobo.
Ta lucca, ah well, best sit back and stop bugging HR then!
I just can't remember as I started my current job in 2008 and don't remember what bits of paper I filled in. But it's pretty standard to have a CRB check so pretty sure I must have had one.
