Thanks bednobs and boxtops. You are right in that I meant a 'rolling' year. So the fact that I have been back at work for 9 months would mean last years sick leave would count against me - in that I would be on 1/2 pay if I were to go on sick leave before mid-August 2010. Or have I misunderstood?
It depends on your scheme but i think you've misunderstood if you allowed 6 months off in any rolling12 month period.
