Not many changes staff wise where i work, our charity has been restructured,so we have lost alot of good staff,we have had several recruitments days, but alot dont stay, anyway they have changed the way they recruit,so we have had quite alot of newbies,i am feeling strange that they are now part of the team, alot of staff have been there for sometime,is this feeling a tribal thing?

Hi poodi. I feel a bit like you at the moment, but it's because they've relocated our offices and we now share a wing with another department. They're all nice (if a bit twee and don't seem to have (the same) sense of humour but they're not our old crowd. So we all tend to stick to our own groups and yes, I guess, tribal is the right word!

Hi lard, some of the newbies work practises are questionable!
There is probably a sense of loss as well poodi, at the staff you knew leaving, and having to make adjustments with the new ones. Give it a little time and i'm sure all will fall into place. Change is hard, and stressful!
Really? Like what? Some of our "really busy" staff spend all day faffing around on Facebook or playing games on t'interweb. One bloke got fired for trawling through porn sites - some other members of staff saw what was on his screen through the window behind him - but when he got fired, he got a glowing reference! So, what message does that send? That we'll condone whatever you do at work?
Lh, is that the NHS by any chance? that always seems to happen!
