Finding an updated will

My father has passed away and left a will which he made in 1976 my brother and I think he has since updated it as he now has grandchildren and certain circumstances have changed since he made it in 1976 after extensive ringing around local solicitors we can not find an updated one can any one tell me if there is a way you can find out if some one has made a new will ??

No I doubt whether there is. He may not even have lodged it with a solicitor, he could have hidden it somewhere!

He wasn't the sort of person not to do things properly the 1976 one was with a solicitor and he knew he was ill and was putting his affairs in order I am wondering if thereis a data base that logs all wills registered with solicitors
It itsn't compulsary to register a will but just in case it was registered, you could try here: https://www.certainty...awill/home/index.ashx
