ive just received my p45 from my previous employer and it looks like a photocopy, arent they meant to be green?

they used to be triplicate pages, the top one then copied onto the other 2 (carbon copies).

I cant recall which copy goes to the employee, but it should say on it.
they are now A4 size parts 2 and 3 go to the new employer

thanks for your replies but i still havent got an answer, i know who gets what copy cos it says on it and i know they are A4 size, but arent they green paper? the one i got was ordinary printing paper and looked very much like a photocopy
they are defo coloured, think it is green, but mine is with Job centre at moment
You should receive 2 copies, one to retain and one for your new employer, I can't recall the colours, but they should be multi-coloured and not photocopies. It seems that you may have received a file copy that your previous employer should have placed in your personnel file. Go back to them and ask for the original copies.
