whats the best grade pci network card to get for my tower....

I was wondering what is the best grade internal network card to get for my new tower..ive noticed there are different grades e.g b grade g and n grade so what would be best for my siemens router i got from orange.......If someone could give me make model that be great im also on windows 7 ultimate........Many thanks all in advance

Rather than buying a wireless network card you'd be better off spending the money on an ethernet cable, wired is far better than wireless in pretty much every way

I agree but my tower is upstairs and router downstairs so would need a very long ethernet cable and then there would be the issue of hideing it etc etc,Hence why i need to get network card

The router is a siemens gigaset se572 wlan dsl.....so maybe this will help someone give me the answer to my prob..agaain thanks for your help

Get yourself a network card with series N format but you should have one already on your motherboard which if the motherboard was made within the last year or so will support B/G and possiblly N . Windows 7 suports N but can work back to B/G .Is your new computer the host for your router if so it will be connected to your router by a cable. It will depend on what type of internet service you have be it broadband cable or adsl . If your new computer is the host then you will not need an extra card.

Sorry I misread your question You need to get a USB wireless adapter from Netgear or Belkin and the latest ones are N series and can work backwards to B/G .Your network card will not have an aerial to receive the signals the adapters have.
