Does writing a character reference when someones in court help if so does any body know how to word it ie how to begin ?

I reckon that would depend on what they are in court for.....also it won't affect innocent or guilty and if they've got previous then its unlikely to help to say they are nice people and good to their mother.

and sign it with your name and titile plus any appropriate professional qualification
