Is there a country with a maximum age for which an individual is convicted/put to trial?
I was recently researching the case of John Demjanjuk and remember reading that a particularly country does not take over 80's to trial for crimes committed previously in life? I have been looking across the internet for if this is true however cannot find any information on the matter, does this country exist? If so what is the country?
Thanks.
Thanks.

But various countries' courts , including this one's, may rule a person unfit to be tried by reason of age and severe infirmity, but that is applicable to any extreme cases, not just those of old age infirmity. The real question is whether they are and will remain able to understand the proceedings and to give instructions in their defence
More pertinently, several jurisdictions have time limits for prosecutions so the case can't be brought after a certain time from the alleged facts giving rise to it.We don't have such a rule in serious cases but do for many lesser offences ( where a 6 month limit is often enough)
