Just received holiday quote for 2 persons ie. £2162 plus £204.96 insurance cost.
Anyone know what this insurance quote is for before I ring them later.I have not requested any holiday insurance as we have annual insurance cover.

They`re probably just trying to flog you travel insurance as it`s extra income for them. I remember Thomas Cook used to be really pushy with their insurance to the point of almost saying you had to buy it to get the holiday at that price.
They're just trying it on. We booked a cottage and they tried to bundle in £16 of cancellation insurance!

Thanks guys,I was beginning to wonder if it was some new flight insurance i hadn't heard of.
Whether you buy it from them or arrange it yourself (has got to be cheaper at that price) you should have insurance in place as of booking and not leave it until just before you go..
Cheers Dzug, I've just booked a holiday (in March) but didn't think about getting insurance straight away - was going to leave it a while but you've made me think now! I guess if I had broken my leg two weeks before (and before getting insurance) I would've been stuffed!
Tell em to F*** OFF....thats to much anyway. Use a comparison website but take note you pay for you pay for. Dont use ones that come with your bank account
