printing artwork for somebody else

Hi, I do printing for individuals, my concern is, if im doing printing for somebody and they supply me plagerised artwork am I liable or is the person supplying the artwork.

Thanks for any advice.

This is advice, not gospel but I know that some commercial printers refuse to print stuff that they believe to be copyright.. I guess it might be a defence that you didn't know and couldn't reasonably have known, eg its not a famous image.
Get your clients to sign a disclaimer before you agree to print from their artwork that frees you from any potential copyright issues...

hi, sometimes my clients send me their artwork electronically can I still get them to agree to a disclaimer online?
Why not? Get your client to agree/sign a 'rolling disclaimer' for all current and future work they require you to print...
I am an artist and as I understand it its the same as the notice you see on a photocopy machine at a library....they just have a disclaimer on the wall by the machine....I guess you could just copy this or something similar and display it or get the artist /client to sign .....or ask a larger printing company...good luck

Attach you terms and conditions embracing this and non-payment etc etc etc
