Does anyone have any experience of claiming Attendance Allowance for an elderly relative? Just completed the 'long' form and wondered how long it will take? Thanks

Usually only a couple of weeks, I found them very quick, they pay it the same way as the pension.

Thats good! Thanks :)
I know the form is hard work, but they are quick with a decision!.......if you get a refusal, often happens!........Then apply again after 6 months, but someone from Age UK to fill in the forms form for you, they are expert at it, and will often make a big difference, especially if the claimant is borderline!.......
