The delay could be for probation or other reports.

I'm pretty sure not everyone found guilty at crown court is sentenced in July.
The delay could be for probation or other reports.

thanks venator,i wondered if that was the reason.
dont get in any more trouble before July !
it's also possible to have deferred sentencing where the defendant has links with another case not yet come to trial, or they've pleaded and for example another party has not or is yet to be dealt with, adjournments for sentencing with probation reports is normally 6-8 weeks.
It's quite possible that there is deferred sentencing due to the defendant being linked with another case, or the D has pleaded and there are other D's due to go on trial or be dealt with. Adjournments for probation reports usually are only 6-8 week maximum, however psychiatric reports can take a bit longer unless the presiding judge makes an order for them to be completed within a time range. Then of course the judge may have reserved the case for himself and that's the next occasion he's back at that court, highly unlikely though, I'd go on first option.
