hi how are you,

this it to anyone that knows anything about the law!

last year i was wrongly disqualified from driving and i 'm looking to claim compensation, the reason for this is, that i had an operation on my leg (cruciate ligaments) and needed the car to get out of isolation so to speak since the disqualification i have had to walk distances, and with all the strain of walking hills my replacement ligament (hamstring) has torn, and now i need both my legs operated on,
so my life is fairly ruined
how much would i get, and the chance of winning

Why were you disqualified ?
First of all....how were you wrong disqualified?
*wrongly
If you were wrongly disqualified, haven't you already appealed before now?
Question Author
for no insurance, but i always had insurance, it was on the system aswell
so why didn't you appeal at the time?
He's in Ireland...........you've spoken to him before, ummmm.

Short answer - You'll stand no chance of getting compensation.
Do you get an instant ban for no insurance?
Question Author
i did appeal last year, but the application was refused, i didnt get the chance to appeal within 14 days as the information was sent to an address i used to live
So I see Jack...

It's your responsibility to inform them of any change of address....Yer banjaxed...
Why do I get the feeling we arent getting the full story here
?
Question Author
yes, it commences shortly after a court appearance, or court date,, i might not know the chances, but it would be better than no chance, the system in ireland is crap, over in the uk, they check if you are insured and leave it at that if you are, not make you hand in your insurance every week, and still get you disqualified
so you did'nt advise DVLA of your new address - but you like driving without insurance?
They used to make you bring in your insurance...it was called a 'producer' and Smilie Culture sang about it...
Tony...he's in Ireland.
Question Author
i only changed address a month after being stopped, and i did, i told them that i had moved, they through everything they could at me, my disqualification is up in 3 weeks
We may be on the mainland but even we're not so gullible to believe that the Court System in Ireland is as whimsical as you seem to be suggesting.

There certainly seems to be enough 'evidence' against you to have resulted in you having your licence removed.......the time to challenge that result has long since passed, I'm afraid.

You don't stand a chance of any sort of compensation....
It's very unlikely that you'll get compo....although Ireland used to be way ahead of England for the compo culture. Have they cracked down now?
Ireland is skint so no compensation for anything. :(
Question Author
i'm also from england, so i have both to compare, there is no evidence, i handed in my insurance, to the station, i di everything i could, i asked my solicitor about it, and he was happy to put a compensation claim in, see i used to get stopped 3 times a day, because of my car, and every day handing in my insurance documents i could not drive down the road without being stopped,
