Can anyone please help? I've been invited for an interview for an admin post at a school. However, I've seen that if I was successful, a CRB check would be done.
2 years ago I called the police out about my boyfriend who had threatened me and they came to my address although I decided not to press any charges against him. Last year, I was feeling very low and went for a walk. A total stranger stopeed to chat to me and inresponse to me saying that I felt like walking into the sea, they called the police who took me to hospital despite my protests that I wasn't being literal and was fine. I was soon allowed to leave the hospital - a ridiculous situation. However, I'm really worried that the combination of what's happened may show on a CRB and I might have a job offer taken away. Can anyone help on this?

That won't show on a CRB, as you were not arrested for anything.
have a look at this to put yr mind at rest

"A CRB check can provide access to a range of different types of information, such as, information:
held on the Police National Computer (PNC), including Convictions, Cautions, Reprimands and Warnings in England and Wales, and most of the relevant convictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland may also be included. (The CRB reserves the right to add new data sources)."

Thanks so much. I can go to my interview with confidence now.
It is unlikely this will show on any CRB check as no offences were committed by yourself.
That sounds like a totally unnecessary ordeal! Good luck with your interview x
I think you'll be fine. The CRB report is what it says "Criminal Record". Calling for help, or being unwell, are not crimes - the police won't have recorded them as such.
While I'm completely confident that nothing will appear on your CRB check, I'd like to correct some of the statements above:

For working in a school, a CRB check will be at 'enhanced' level. That means that (as well as criminal convictions) it can show any information deemed relevant by a senior police officer (or other relevant authority). For example, totally unsubstantiated allegations can appear. (A teacher posted, here on AB, when he found that an allegation of 'grooming' a child appeared on his CRB check, even though he'd never been questioned about it or even made aware of it). Similarly, information relating to a known associate of the person being checked can appear. (I know a teacher who found that her former partner's conviction for downloading child porn was mentioned).

Chris
I'd agree with what you say Chris, about the police discretion on enhanced checks, but surely the incidents the OP mentioned wouldn't be deemed as criminal connections? - whereas the information you described could be linked to criminal (or potentially criminal) activities?
I doubt that they would show, based on my limited experience.
