why do i unknowingly go for the most

expensive item in the shop. Time and again when i go shopping i look around at what is on offer, that's nice, or that would look good and so on. Then pick out something i really like, then look at the the price tag, the most expensive in the shop, even though that is not what i can afford or looked for. Does anyone else do this. I picked up a lovely jumper a while back, colour right, style etc, then looked at the tag, 150 quid, put back on rail...

it's not a conscious thing at all, the one jumper i really liked was cashmere, and though prices have come down a lot was still mega expensive.

Yep. I think its just you can tell that something is of higher quality and inwardly hope it will be as cheap as the other stuff.

evian it's possible, i rarely buy clothes these days, just the odd thing but it's always top of the range, i don't mind paying for quality, but like one item i picked up in john lewis had a price tag of £1,532.00 or so.

Did it once... wandering round a famous department store... looking for something to wear to a wedding saw a perfect lilac dress very simple lovely colour nice little print jacket to match tried it on fell completely in love with it... just under £3,000 for the two.. I found a pattern and similar effect fabric and copied it pretty much for £30

Nearly succumbed to a black gothic style ballgown once all beads and boned corsetry £1750 I'd had insurance money from a burglary I actually considered not replacing the tv etc

sorry didn't get back, so not just me then, i seem to make a beeline for something and then find i would need the services of ten credit cards to make one purchase, so now don't have a credit card. Not problem solved, but more that i must have good but expensive tastes
