A tragic life. He died at the age of 38, his wife died a few months later at the age of 37 and three of his four children died at a relatively early age.

This was the song my aunt sang at her wedding some 40 years ago - bless her - little did she know what was ahead of her.

Mario was my mothers favourite we played this at her funeral,you don't her it played much these days but when ever I hear hear it I remeber mum and have a quick smile.

that was lovely Mamy - brought memories to me of when we celebrated the 1st day of May when a "good" girl was crowned Our Lady. Certainly wasn't me.

My youngest daughter was chosen to crown the statue on her communion day,by then they had gone for the more democratic names out of a hat approach - a boy to carry the crown on a cushion and the girl to teeter on the steps as she placed the crown.



By the bye - the young boy soprano in your main clip was actually dubbed over by a girl singer named Jacqueline Allen.
It wasa proud moment and she was thrilled.
