I don't think the President has much of a sense of humour.
What he does have, is a high sense of self-regard and a sense of bafflement that other people don't view him as he views himself.
As any politician knows, satire and comedy go with the territory, you need broad shoulders, the ability to laugh at yourself a little, and the dignity to let things go.
President Trump has never been a politician, and he shows wilful determination not to learn any of the political skills that go with his office.
All he does is make himself look like a spoiled adolescent by suggesting federal restrictions on as comedy show because he is upset by its content.
Another concept that is not in President Trump's orbit - dignified silence.
