Good Luck Julia Bradbury After Your Surgery X
18 Answers
TV Presenter Julia Bradbury has been diagnosed with breast cancer and, at the age of 51, she opted to have a double mastectomy, to give herself the best possible chance. She had her surgery yesterday, and as my mum died of this, whilst also just in her 50’s, this is a subject very close to my heart. So I, and am sure all of us, wish her the very best, and speediest recovery. And hopefully before you know it she’ll be up and about playing with her kids, and back on our TV screens, thinking up daft things for our Xmas shopping lists and all the daft things we are all thinking of at this time of year x

It’s getting stupid! So all my/our very best to Julia and am now going to try and think of something more cheerful!

I wish Julia and indeed anyone who is in this situation just now the very best.
Her words may hopefully help bolster up others.
//The anxiety leading up to my mastectomy was overwhelming. Now I feel relief.I'm sad that such a brutal procedure is necessary in many breast cancer cases, but I choose life.I'll follow Walt Whitman's words:Keep your face always toward the sun & the shadows will fall behind you.//

yes my friend is celebrating 5 years of double mastectomy and while it was hard at first - she is great now. Fantastic stamina - she walks an hour in the morning and an hour of an afternoon.
Only regret but she was 67 when she had it done - she could have gone for reconstructive surgery - so in certain situations - she can be embarrassed about having no breasts.
